ATAS is a Platinum Sponsor of the NWiR and is a proud supporter of the ATAS employees who are women.  Several are members of the NWiR, and some also serve on various councils and committees across the country.  ATAS is also a strong advocate of educating students about potential careers in the construction and manufacturing industries, including young women.  They have been involved as volunteer instructors, and as a sponsor, in the annual Let’s Build Construction Camp for Girls, since its inception in 2017.  This program is designed for high school age girls to attend a free week-long camp to explore the construction trades, architecture, engineering, and construction manufacturing through hands-on experiences and field trips.  It was developed four years ago as partnership between the Greater Lehigh Valley CSI chapter (Construction Specifications Institute) and the Eastern PA ABC chapter (Associated Builders & Contractors).  Campers develop greater self-esteem, by learning skills to solve challenging projects and successfully complete them.  The camp also provides inspiration and mentoring for girls to understand they have a place in the construction industry, and they can become successful leaders.  This results in developing a stronger workforce for the future of the construction industry.

In 2015, the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, established the Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) Initiative as part of its broader commitment to support aspiring young girls and female practicing STEM professionals.  ATAS is a sponsor of this initiative and has some women employees involved in that program.

An American, family-owned company with global reach, ATAS has a reputation built on 57 years of quality craftsmanship and knowledgeable staff.  They have been honored with a Top Workplaces award for the past five years and will continue in their efforts toward diversity and inclusion of their team members, including women.  For more information about ATAS International, please visit www.atas.com or call 610.395.8445.
