The Columbus Clippers baseball team, Division 7 Roofing, and the NWiR Columbus Council teamed up for the councils' July event to support Central Ohio families in need with the first ever Huntington Park Diaper Drive. The Columbus Clippers promoted all attendees to bring in a donation of diapers to support the Columbus Diaper Coalition. In total, 1,008 diapers were collected! Thanks so much, Division 7 for sponsoring our event, we had a ball!
In honor of Safety Stand Down week, the Columbus Council held their May event at Play Columbus. While there, safety director Joe Redd discussed the importance of fall protection the field. After their safety demonstration, the ladies of the Columbus council used harnesses to participate in hands on team building activities!
The Columbus National Women in Roofing Council held a diaper drive with the Columbus Diaper Coalition in honor of celebrating women throughout the month of March. In this, we collected 3,768 diapers and 2,280 wipes as well as multiple monetary donations!!! Kimberly Stalica and John Kiesel of Division 7 Roofing and Michelle Howes, Gary Howes, and Gabi Criado of The Durable Slate Company dropped of all donations at the Columbus Diaper Coalition on March 31st. The Columbus Council had a great time celebrating the holidays with each other and significant others at Watershed Distillery. Before dinner we had an exciting time at Escape Room Columbus! The Cleveland and Columbus councils celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month together and a great time was had by all! On Sunday, October 17th, members attended a salsa dancing class at the Emerald City Ballroom in Dublin followed by a delicious lunch at El Vaquero.
