The Oregon Council is teaming up with the Associated Roofing Contractors Association of Oregon & SW Washington! This is to help meet or exceed their goal of raising $20,000 to provide gift cards to the children of Margaret Scott Elementary School for the holiday season.

The group met and discussed their holiday community outreach plans before Seth Pietsch presented on Cyber Security Threat Scenarios and Coverage Strategies for Roofing Contractors. The Oregon Council sponsored a hole alongside Integrity Insurance & Bonding, Inc. at the Associated Roofing Contractors of Oregon & SW Washington Golf Tournament and we had a great time! We spent the day educating our roofing community about our council and how they can support. We also provided 2 raffle prizes; each including a cooler and a 1 year membership for NWiR. We can’t wait to attend next year!

Our NWiR Oregon Council exhibited at the Oregon Tradeswomen Career Fair on Student Day. Over 1,500 students were bussed in to learn about exciting career opportunities in the skilled construction trades. We learned the Skanska booth was building birdhouses, so we teamed up with them so we could have attendees roof their birdhouses after!
